Admissions

Applying for a place at our school is very easy.

Reception

If you would like a place at our school for a child approaching their Reception year please apply via the Suffolk County Council Admission website (link below) and also complete our Supplementary Information Form (SIF). Our Admissions Policy explains how we prioritise applications if we are over subscribed.

The SIF can be downloaded below and should be completed and returned to the school office, along with the other School forms which can also be downloaded below. Suffolk's application form should be returned to their admissions team.

In-year Applications

Parents and carers can make an in-year application for their child to go to a new school:

- during the school year

- at the start of the school year but in a different age group from the school's normal year of entry

How you make an in-year application depends on which school or schools you would like to apply for:

Suffolk County Council deals with in-year applications for community and voluntary controlled schools. Voluntary aided, free schools and academies deal with their in-year applications directly

As we are an academy trust, please apply directly with the school.

School to notify parents of the outcome of their in-year application within 10 school days, and will always confirm the position within 15 school days. (15 school days is a new statutory timescale set by the 2021 SAC)

You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing, and you have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel.

Our admissions policy follows the guidance for Catholic Schools in England; to read this, please click on admissions policy link above.

Please return all forms to office.stbenets@cpswv.org

We look forward to welcoming you to St Benet's!
