St Benet's has provided an excellent transition to online learning for my child. A range of activities have been provided and these have included a variety of stimuli. Effort has been made to provide art resources and the share the work of other pupils. Both written and verbal teacher feedback has been given. Given the circumstances I am incredibly grateful for the support given to my child at this time.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work and support during this time. The remote learning has been fantastic! My child and I often need to catch up on work later in the day when I work early and knowing there is no set time for the work to be handed in takes the pressure off us and I am very grateful for that. Google classroom is very easy to use, the consistent zoom call everyday has been very important to help the children and teacher stay connected and have a sense of belonging within the class. Thank you once again for everything you are doing, it is very much appreciated.
St Benet's is doing a fantastic job as my son is having daily zoom contact with Miss Ashfield and his friends so by the time he returns to school he will slot in very easy. My child has not mentioned school or seeing his class on zoom, he has just accepted it and adapted to it because the school has done a fantastic job in making the home learning so natural. We feel very connected to the school so thank you. Nothing could improve it as just extremely happy with how everything has been set out. To bring the school and home pupils together on a daily basis and have that much contact with their teacher is amazing. Well done and thank you!
Great work, variety and support from Miss Roberts. my child loves to see her on zoom and have check ins as well as lessons. He really values her feedback.
Just a quick message to say how amazing the transfer to online has been this week. The communication and support from school has been brilliant. Miss Lewis has been so organised with the work and the zoom classes have been a calm addition to our home. She's so tranquil whilst teaching children both in class and remotely. Thank you so much for everything so far. I know it's early days but I wanted to share our thanks.
It's been great to have slight changes to the zoom teaching timetable, the recorded story and resources are working really well too. It is making it much easier to manage from home and providing variety for our child which is working well. I'd just like to pass on our thanks for all the extra input from the school, I am sure it would be much easier for teachers to provide worksheets for the class so we really do appreciate it.
I found the newsletter to be most helpful, thank you, your words are appreciated. Both the passage by Emily W, King and the prayer for safety. It is a very stressful time. This made me feel a part of the school and I value your support and empathy. I hope other St Benet's families found comfort in this message too.

I keep meaning to drop the school a line to say how impressed I am with the home schooling that is being provided by Miss Lyons. It really is fantastic. And the zoom calls are working brilliantly too (I was dreading them!). Anyway, I just wanted to let the school know how grateful we are for the continuity of learning at such a difficult time; we appreciate the effort and time that this must take to prepare and review!
Thank you for your very personal letter of your experience during first lockdown, it was really good to read that and hear the difficulties faced. Having all these zooms is so good for our child as he hasn’t really noticed he is not at school because of all the contact he has with Miss Ashfield and his friends.
I wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to Mrs Barlow, Miss Lewis and all the teachers involved in putting together these activities. Our wellness day is perfectly timed as we really needed a little 'shake up' and some screen free time today
